VNSoton Activities

Just a summary of the regular activities that are going on every week: -Badminton: Sport Centre has allocated for VNSoton two badminton courses at Jubilee Sport Centre from 10:00am to 12:00am every Sunday from next week 16/10. So everyone is welcome. There is only cost of cork shuttles, which is very small. And obviously you need the SportRec membership to enter the complex. We will have to attend this slot if not they will cancel the booking and we will have to book individually. Please contact Thach for relevant information about badminton. -Swimming: Some people prefer to wash their sweat in the swimming pool after the badminton :D. So get your gears ready on Sunday morning for swimming after the badminton if you would like to join them. -Football: We now have a team of footballer that can get the SVUK cup next year. We need to get prepared for it. So our team manager Anh Minh has decided that we all play football at 2:30pm at Riverside Park on every Sunday after the Badminton. This week there is also an extra practice session on Wednesday 12/10 at 3:30pm at Riverside Park. So please come if you can. -Gym: To get a body of a champion we also have to go to the gym. The time is typically from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Wednesday and Saturday. This activity is in Fitness room in Jubilee Sport Centre. You will need not only SportRec membership but also induction session to enter the Fitness room. Please contact the reception for the time you would like to attend an induction course. Anh Sy is the best trainer we have. You know him all already, I guess :D. -Golf: This is very new activity to our society but it is very exciting. There are two ways you can play golf in Southampton depending on your skill. There is a Pitch and Put course at Riverside Park, near the football fields. You pay £2.70 for a ticket. You can also have a pair of clubs (one for pitching one for putting) and a ball for a deposit of £5.00. This activity is often on Saturday afternoon. Contact Thach or Chi Giang for more detail. A more advance golf level is at Municipal Golf Course near Glen Eyre. We play on a full length golf course. If anyone would like to join contact me, Khu or anh Sy. -And Playing Cards: some time during the weekend often late at night some where in Southampton. Prepare your coins. :D.
