Farewell Party

Hi everyone

2008 is quite an eventful year. So many of us are graduating from Southampton Uni. While some of us stick with academia and go on to be post-doc researchers or post grad students, the rest are wiser and decide to leave for greener pastures, be it our homeland Vietnam or a job in the 'real' world. With sadness we are bidding farewell to our fellow friends that we have the privilege of knowing for the last 3 years, for example a Quang Anh, a Thành,a Mẫn, Tuấn ,Thanh, Thư, Công.

I really hope all of us can make it to this event.  Also I sincerely apologise for not planning it way in advance.
Basically Tuấn,Thành and Vân are flying on the 11th. I have some other commitment on Sunday, so probably the most feasible dates are Saturday Monday and Tuesday. please give some comments about your availiability in this forum thread.

What we can do (vote pls)

        1. BBQ: simple and easy. we can hold a BBQ in Montefiore hall or my new house (on the 9th or 10th)

        2.a day trip to Bournemouth beach.

        3.horserace, possibly Monday the 9th of June from 4 to 10pm at the Windsor racetrack. going to the race is quite an experience and it's quintessentially English, highly recommended for those of you who are leaving this country for good.

       4.a nice dinner where everyone dress up nicely in a posh restaurant, let's say the Oxford Brasserie restaurant.  http://www.theoxfordbrasserie.co.uk/
